New expert joins Fireseeds North Infrastructure

This week, Fireseeds North Infrastructure welcomes a new expert to our team. We are incredibly pleased to have Dan Buhler join us as a Senior IT Systems Specialist. In this role, Dan will help transportation and infrastructure departments navigate the selection, adoption, implementation, and optimization of enterprise tools, systems, and software.

Dan has more than 40 years of experience in information technology, including 34 years with Manitoba Infrastructure and Transportation, serving for 22 years as the Director of Information Technology. Dan has been a member of several committees of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), including 12 years on the Special Committee on Joint Software Development and liaison responsibilities to the committees on bridge and pavement design software. 

With Manitoba Infrastructure and Transportation, Dan was responsible for all aspects of the department’s IT program, including planning, budgeting and portfolio management and delivery. Dan has experience in project planning and management, vendor relations, and has managed large IT projects in transportation engineering. Dan has also been active in the International Highway Engineering Exchange Program (IHEEP), serving on the Executive Committee and as International President in 2011.
